Fitzroy Paddock is a small, family-run business on the outskirts of Taunton, where we have diversified some farmland into a safe and private space for dogs to exercise with their humans. We would love you to come and enjoy it.

Why would I want to take my dog to Fitzroy Paddock?

There could be many reasons to take your dog(s) to Fitzroy Paddock. Here are the most popular:


You have a slightly tricky dog who can be upset by other dogs and you want a safe area to exercise them without the worry.

Your dog does not have recall.

Your dog is in season and cannot be around other dogs.

You have a new puppy or rescue dog and you want a quiet place away from other dogs to train them.

You enjoy the privacy of Fitzroy Paddock and like to go there for an hour over lunch with your dog.

Book an appointment.

We charge £10/hr for up to 2 dogs, and £2/hr per extra dog - up to a maximum of 5.
NB: Please be aware of your time slot, it is inclusive of arrival and departure.
Please don’t arrive more than 10 mins before, or encroach on other people’s time slots.
If you arrive early please use the overflow parking, and please be courteous to other users.

How to find us

The best way to get to Fitzroy Paddock is to take the A358 north-west from Taunton, and shortly after passing the Otter Garden Centre, take a right turn towards Fitzroy. Follow the road for one mile, passing through the village, and turning left at the T-junction. Fitzroy Paddock is 100yds on the left.

There is a maximum of two cars allowed in the compound at any one time. If you arrive early (max 10 minutes or less please) then there is a waiting area for one car off-road.
